The Fitosoft-developed ObjectPrint is ideally suited for you if you run a small to medium-sized business or organization and you want an efficient means of managing and tracking all printing activities. With this tool by your side you will have no problems controlling printers and printing jobs.
The system requirements for running ObjectPrint are: 1GHz processor or better, 512MB of RAM memory or more, about 100MB of free disk space, admin rights, web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Opera), Windows operating system (anything from Windows 2000 up to Windows 8).
The setup wizard that guides you through the installation process will ask you to choose between an Express and a Custom Install. The Express Install, which is recommended by the developer, includes the following: quota mode, admin login, local database storage, ObjectPrint Connnector, allows printing of unprocessed print jobs when the ObjectPrint Server is not available, configures Windows Firewall for use with the ObjectPrint Service.
When you launch ObjectPrint for the first time you will be presented with a First Time Configuration Wizard that will guide you through a total of 6 steps: explore users, explore printers, explore network printers, explore computers, explore groups, finish.
Access to all the functionality ObjectPrint has to offer is provided via the browser window. As mentioned above, ObjectPrint supports Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, Mozilla’s Firefox, Google’s Chrome, and Opera Software’s Opera web browser.
Speaking about functionality, it must be mentioned that ObjectPrint is available as a free and as a standard edition. The free edition is limited to the following functionality: track all printing activity, control all printing activity, advanced reports and charts, web-based access, internal database engine, create just one print server. The standard edition adds the following to the list of features: secure web-based access, supports the most popular SQL databases, create as many print servers as you want, prepaid print card system, ObjectPrint clients, support for multiple languages.
